Dogecoin’s popularity has inspired the Singapore-based international payment platform GoCoin to add the Shiba Inu-themed crypto currency to their ranks.
“We’ve been carefully prioritizing the latest alt-coins, and dogecoin really stands out as a viable currency due, in large part, to the strength of its community,” said GoCoin Founder & CEO, Steve Beauregard. “By integrating dogecoin into our platform, GoCoin is one step closer to giving merchants the ability to accept any digital currency and increase sales with new shoppers.”
By adding dogecoin to their ranks, GoCoin allows merchants to offer their customers yet another vector of payment that the merchants can have directly deposited into their bank account or digital wallet, reducing volatility risk for everyone involved in the transaction.
This announcement follows on the tail of a series of dogecoin news, including a home up for sale for dogecoin and a charity effort to provide clean water for Kenya, no doubt increasing awareness of this underdog currency.
