Satoshi Square happened in Grand Park last night, in the heart of downtown Los Angeles. It attracted about 40-50 people who found it through a variety of places: friends, meetup.com, and /r/dogecoin. Most traders were both new to the event and bitcoin, and this also marked the first time our event accepted altcoins. There were enthusiasts from all spectrums, but we heard doge, coinye, ripple, and mooncoin mentioned the most. We also showed off the web-based bitpay merchant terminal for those who were interested in accepting bitcoin at their business. A represenative from CoinMKT was also present. NBC News talked about Satoshi Square in their segment: click here to see the video.
The next Satoshi Square will be happening Feb 18.
